I was asked by Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District to paint a rain barrel in their booth at the fair to be auctioned off. I wanted to incorporate 4H animals (since it was a 4H fair) and bright colors. A carousel was the result. The rain barrel is heavy duty food-grade plastic and I used acrylic paint and a sealer. Rain barrels are good for storing water that gets siphoned off the roof for use on garden plants later on. And they are a blank canvas for outdoor art!
